Mayuri dies one day later despite timeline changes. Okabe and Kurisu theorize that undoing previous D-Mails might restore a world line with an IBN 5100 to hack SERN. Okabe focuses on reversing Faris's D-Mail after helping her evade a rival Rai-Net gang. He shows her the former maid cafe site, triggering memories of a fake ransom note that saved her father from a fatal plane crash. Her father arrives, revealing he sold the IBN to pay the ransom. After accepting his death, Faris sends a counter D-Mail to revert Akihabara to a moe hub. However, the IBN 5100 remains out of Okabe's reach.
