Following the pirate attack, Ledo faces Amy's criticism while Gargantia leaders anticipate retaliation. Pirate survivor Lukkage learns of the incident and mobilizes a fleet to strike. Bellows and Amy explain to Ledo that weapons are last resorts, emphasizing mutual reliance for survival. After reconciling with Ledo, the approaching fleet is spotted. Ledo negotiates with Ridget to assist in exchange for acceptance aboard the fleet. Ordered to avoid casualties, Ledo disables the front-line ships and returns to counter Lukkage's sneak attack in her custom yumboro, the "Surfing Lobster". Ledo swiftly defeats Lukkage, causing the pirates to retreat. Saluted by the crew, Ledo greets Amy using the native phrase "Thank You".
