Ledo faces an invoice for damage caused by Chamber, though Ridget waives living expenses. While Chamber assists workers, Ledo sculpts a Hideauze claw and gifts it to Amy, who gives it to her brother Bevel. Amy leads Ledo to Dr. Oldham, who explains that Gargantia cannot help him return to space due to lost technology. During rain, Ledo helps collect water. He meets Bevel, who plays the carved object, now recognized as a flute. This triggers a forgotten memory, causing Ledo to cry. He asks Bevel to return the flute and considers learning more about his surroundings, while Chamber notes he must eventually leave everything behind to return to his unit.
