Following Akagi’s victory over his opponents, Ishikawa introduces him to a contest between a fake Akagi and Urabe, a Fujisawa yakuza representative. Although the fake Akagi appears to be winning, the real Akagi identifies that Urabe is intentionally losing. After the third of four rounds, Urabe proposes doubling the wager from 500,000 to 1 million, with stakes increasing until one player takes first place. Urabe wins the first round but deliberately avoids leading to raise the bet. As the amount reaches 16 million, the Fujisawa boss arrives. The fake Akagi wins the penultimate hand, needing only 1,000 points to lead, but misses the opportunity, causing the bet to double to 32 million.
