After winning a high-stakes bet against a man who fears losing his arm, Kawada wagers two million against Akagi’s salary, which Akagi wins. Returning to his factory room, Akagi observes three men cheating a newcomer named Osamu. Before leaving, Akagi bets his two million winnings against the cheaters' savings. He successfully cheats them, securing his victory, and decides to resign from his job. The following day, as Akagi and Osamu exit the factory, they are confronted by the three men they defeated.
