Ep. 8: A man claiming to be Akagi demonstrates mahjong skills to a yakuza boss

Six years after the match between Akagi and Ichikawa, Yasuoka presents a man to Kawada, asserting he is Akagi. Ishikawa, the sole witness from the original game, doubts the claim and consults Nangou. They observe the man working in a factory and inform Akagi about the impersonator. Despite Ishikawa bringing the real Akagi, Kawada prefers the impostor due to his logical approach. During a demonstration involving 136 tiles, the man correctly identifies tenpai requirements for random 13-tile hands. However, Akagi interrupts to state that the last 19 tiles require exactly three tiles to complete, proving his superior intuition without looking at the tiles.
