Years prior, a human Beatrice trained under the Golden Witch. In 1986, Eva suffers recurring visions of her younger self claiming magical abilities to become family head, which persist during the conference. Maria reads a letter from the now-powerful Beatrice, who summons the demonic butler Ronove, to the guests at dinner. The siblings discuss the letter and rumors about Kinzo's mistress, a woman named Beatrice who lived in the island forest thirty years ago. Battler theorizes that this human Beatrice remains on the island. However, Rosa confesses to her siblings that she killed Beatrice.
