Ep. 8: Guests vanish and enter locked chapel to find murders and gold, while Jessica and Kanon fall to Beatrice’s forces.

Krauss, Eva, Rudolf, and their spouses disappear, leaving remaining guests to find the chapel locked. Rosa retrieves the key from an envelope Beatrice gave Maria, allowing entry to discover the missing individuals murdered alongside Kinzo’s hidden gold. Jessica and Kanon separate from the group and are ambushed by Beatrice, who summons goat servants. Kanon defeats the goats, but Beatrice calls forth Asmodeus and Satan, the Stakes of Purgatory, killing both Jessica and Kanon. In the meta-world, Battler attempts to solve how the first six victims were killed in a locked room. He proposes theories, which Beatrice refutes using red text. Battler eventually surprises her by suggesting the culprit locked the bodies inside and returned the key to the envelope. Beatrice acknowledges his insight but maintains confidence in her ultimate victory.
