The survivors locate Jessica's body in a locked room, while Kanon has been erased by Beatrice. Since Kanon provided Jessica with his master key, he is cleared of suspicion, leaving the servants as primary suspects. Battler cannot determine how the crime occurred given the servants' innocence. Rosa dismisses the staff to use them as bait for the culprit. During this process, the servants encounter a severely wounded Kanon who claims Rosa attacked him. However, this Kanon is revealed to be a duplicate created by Beatrice. The impostor attacks the group, killing Nanjo and Kumasawa before being destroyed by the remaining servants.
