Ep. 17: Beatrice resurrects Shannon, prompting Eva Beatrice to kill George and others while blinding Jessica.

After Battler grants Beatrice another opportunity to reform, she travels to the real world to visit George, who remains in mourning over Shannon's death. Despite her weakened state, Beatrice offers to restore Shannon to life and succeeds with George's help. Eva Beatrice senses this resurrection and promptly murders George and Shannon upon their reunion, followed by the deaths of Krauss and Natsuhi. When survivors discover the bodies, Jessica identifies Eva as the culprit. In a panic, Eva fires her rifle at Jessica, causing the muzzle flash to blind her. As Nanjo escorts Jessica away for medical treatment, she urges him to return and protect Battler. However, Eva Beatrice kills Nanjo before he can comply, leaving Jessica entirely defenseless against the threat.
