Ange steps away from Beatrice's game to address Maria's denial regarding neglect by Rosa, but Maria claims satisfaction with Sakutaro securing her mother's affection. Beatrice reveals she granted Sakutaro a human body after Maria created his soul, naming Maria the Witch of Origins to form the Mariage Sorcière alliance. Ange recalls her past membership in this group, where she learned to summon the seven Sisters of Purgatory and befriended Mammon. Since 1998, she has lost her magic but continues investigating the Rokkenjima murders. Before rejoining the game, Lambdadelta appears, warning that Battler's victory would restore his 1986 self while leaving Ange alone, and suggests she stay with her brother if he fights Beatrice eternally.
