Ep. 23: Ange investigates Rokkenjima relatives while cousins face deadly trials in 1986
Aired on December 3, 2009

23
In 1998, Ange questions relatives of the Rokkenjima murder victims and hires a boat captain to travel to the island, where she finds a bag of lion dolls matching Sakutaro. Meanwhile, in 1986, cousins learn of Kinzo's test from Kuwadorian hostages and lock Gohda and Kumasawa in the storehouse. Jessica and George undergo individual trials by Ronove and Gaap, choosing who dies next: themselves, their true loves (Shannon for George, Kanon for Jessica), or everyone else. Jessica selects herself to save Kanon, while George chooses everyone else to prove his love for Shannon. Refusing to leave hostages in the dungeon, both cousins defiantly fight their proctors.
