Exhausted from work, Akira, who is actually female, secretly meets Torino to relax, concealing her identity from Mamori and Mirei. While resting in Mamori’s room, she remembers her mother’s instructions to present as male for safety at Mermaid. The following day, rebellious girls seize a Ritter hostage in the building where Akira stores her male attire. As Charlotte and Kasumi debate their response, Mamori, Mirei, and Akira use a secret passage to infiltrate the site. They encounter a trap set by the Ritter, who is disillusioned with her life. After Mirei is incapacitated, Mamori tasks Akira with driving to stop the terrorists, a mission that briefly reveals Akira’s true gender to Mirei before they depart the scene.
