Tensions between commoners and nobles escalate as Oscar coughs blood during patrol. Delegates ally with nobles and clergy to establish the National Assembly. The King blocks their entry to the hall due to their growing influence. Forced to seal the doors, Oscar witnesses the delegates take the Tennis Court Oath on a tennis court, signaling the start of the French Revolution. When the King attempts to dissolve the Assembly, Company B is ordered to remove the delegates. Oscar refuses this command and is arrested. Twelve soldiers, including Alain, are detained at the Abbey for refusing new orders. Upon learning Royal Guards will intervene, Oscar escapes with Andre's help to prevent the removal of the delegates.
