Norma acts independently to secure funds for the ransom of a young elementary school student abducted from a monorail by an unidentified individual. The transport vehicle contains a Ticker bomb installed by an Acromantis Bugmech. After being shot by a gunman near Daiva City, Norma discloses to Kariya and Saiki that the child is Marie, her sole daughter. Norma explains that she surrendered Marie for adoption during their period as homeless refugees following a war, citing an inability to provide necessary care. She subsequently joined the Blademan operatives to guarantee Marie’s well-being.
