Haruki invites Saiki, Kariya, and Gharib to dine at a local Asian ethnic restaurant, where they discover the owner is burdened by significant debt. Gharib identifies the debt collector as an ex-soldier who previously trained under him during Gharib's military service. This soldier’s hands were disabled after Gharib saved his life by shooting an armed landmine from his grasp. Motivated to resolve the debt and find new purpose, Gharib assists the owner's daughter in overcoming her past and improving her culinary skills to secure the restaurant's future.
