Ep. 23: Arashi departs with Nataku as Sorata pursues Kamui to stop Arashi and dies protecting him.

Arashi declares herself a Dragon of Earth and leaves with Nataku. While Kusanagi and the Dragons of Heaven receive treatment, Sorata questions Arashi’s betrayal. Kamui retrieves the sacred sword from the academy, bids farewell to the catatonic Subaru, and heads to fight Fuuma. Sorata realizes Arashi intends to kill Kamui to prevent his sacrifice and rushes to intervene. Kamui confronts Fuuma and Arashi, but Sorata stops Arashi. Sorata vows to kill Arashi if she attacks Kamui, yet neither can harm the other. Fuuma attempts to execute Arashi for betrayal, but Sorata intervenes and is impaled. Before dying, Sorata electrifies Fuuma’s body, forcing him to retreat to Nataku. Sorata’s final wish is for Arashi to live on, fulfilling his prophecy.
