At Doumeki's residence, Watanuki participates in a mahjong game alongside Yuuko, Mokona, and Doumeki. Because he lacks knowledge of the rules, he suffers a significant defeat. The spirits Ame-warashi and Zashiki-warashi arrive to offer assistance, yet Watanuki continues to lose despite their efforts. As the session concludes, the spirit associated with the haunted cherry tree smiles and leaves. Yuuko remarks to Doumeki that for certain individuals, the sound of clacking mahjong tiles is believed to bring good fortune.
