Ep. 5: Hachiman manipulates election data to secure Isshiki’s presidency and resolve club conflicts.

Hachiman confides in his sister Komachi Hikigaya, who encourages him to retain Yukino and Yui in the Service Club. He then consults Yoshiteru Zaimokuza, Saika Totsuka, Saki Kawasaki, and Komachi to address the student council election. Realizing his initial censure motion would harm Isshiki’s self-image, Hachiman has Saki list candidates and Yoshiteru create an anonymous social media campaign. Using fabricated statistics and reverse psychology, he convinces Isshiki to accept the presidential position. He later presents these false figures to Yui and Yukino, persuading them to step down since Isshiki will win. Yui accepts his methods with mild understanding. Isshiki wins by default due to lack of competition, allowing daily life to resume its normal course without further conflict.
