Chiharu and Makina, both cyborgs, are detained for breaking the Galactic Road Traffic Act. Alongside them, Akane and Kanata, also cyborgs, and Kurt and Max, who are cyborgs as well, are arrested for similar reasons. Officer Ryoko collects the six individuals and gives them a community service assignment: to clean the interplanetary train called the "Milky☆Subway." The task is expected to be straightforward, but it quickly turns into a significant event.
