Mars no Kiss

Yukari defies her strict mother through rebellious behavior, including dyed hair, manicured nails, and a relationship with an older man, which is primarily physical. Miki is described as tall, quiet, intelligent, and reserved, embodying traditional Japanese beauty. The two students are assigned to sit together at the start of the school term, which frustrates Yukari. Initially dismissive of Miki, Yukari witnesses her kissing a statue of Mars after school, causing a strong emotional reaction. Their moment is interrupted by someone approaching, marking a turning point in their relationship.
