Honoo no Mirage

Takaya Ohgi is a high school student focused on preserving a normal life and safeguarding his best friend. Nobutsuna Naoe, an older man, reveals that Takaya is the reborn form of Lord Kagetora and helps awaken his ability to exorcise evil spirits and battle the Feudal Underworld. Unlike other possessors who retain memories of their past lives, Takaya does not, which Naoe appreciates due to the intense and violent history he shared with his former lord. As Takaya gains skill, he starts recalling Naoe's actions driven by affection. Concurrently, the Hojo and Fuma clans unleash attacks, bringing the Feudal Underworld into the present.
