16 juin 1996We're introduced to Ryotsu Kankichi as he's riding his bicycle as fast as he can, with reckless abandon, in order to make it to work on time. His job? A police officer in the police box in front of Kameari park in Katsushikaku-ward in Tokyo. However, while upholding the law, he also is constantly coming up with underhanded money-making schemes. As such, he owes a lot of money to the residents of the neighborhood, and despite just receiving his salary for the month, it's time for him to pay up. After paying each of them what he owes them, he's left with only 160 yen. Now he must find some way to survive for the month without any money for food.

23 juin 1996A new officer joins the police box in front of Kameari park in Katsushikaku-ward in Tokyo. He's a multi-billionaire who goes by the name of Nakagawa Keiichi. While he comes prepared, wearing a custom-made designer-brand police uniform, will he be ready to take on his first assignment? The assignment involves an old man, who comes in and asks for directions to a restaurant which he drew fifty years ago as a child. If Ryotsu and Nakagawa can find it, then he will reward them handsomely. However, they only have a few hours before the old man's plane arrives at the airport, taking him back to Paris. Will they be able to find the restaurant from his childhood before he has to leave?

30 juin 1996Ryotsu reunites with an old friend who has opened up a ramen stall. Over a bowl of ramen, he tells Ryo how he's having trouble with business and can't think of any way to increase his revenue. After thinking of a few ideas, Ryo eventually comes up with a plan by looking at a hot air balloon flying by. They plan to make a ramen stall in the air, offering express convenient delivery to customers right outside their apartment windows. However, this kind of idea breaks all sorts of permits and restrictions. Will they be able to run their business without getting caught by Ryo's fellow officers?

7 juil. 1996Ryo's boss, Chief Ohara, has just won 3 million yen in the lottery, but despite his best attempts, he fails to keep it a secret from the rest of the officers of the police box. Ryo forces him to celebrate by ordering food from an expensive restaurant, spending almost all of the Chief's winnings in the process. This ignites a fire in Ryotsu, causing him to become obsessed with winning the lottery. By some amount of luck, Ryo actually manages to win 5.5 billion yen, and goes on a wild spending spree, all the while attempting to keep it secret.

28 juil. 1996One day, when Ryo is eating some shaved ice at a sweets shop, the old lady who runs the shop mentions that she's getting rid of her old hand-cranked shaved ice maker in favor of an electric one. Ryo offers to take it off her hands, and she gives it to him as a present. Ryo brags about the machine, and plans to make the best shaved ice with it, but Reiko mocks him, and tells him if that's the case he should be using higher quality ice. He convinces Nakagawa to order some ice from the arctic, and they deliver a mountain of ice. After using it to make shaved ice, there's still too much left, and Chief Ohara tells him to get rid of it. Ryo then comes up with a plan; by making a ski slope out of shaved ice, he can get rid of the ice mountain, and also make a bunch of money at the same time. However, as a police officer he's not allowed to start a business. Will he get away with this or will the chief catch him red-handed?

4 août 1996Reiko is running late for work, but keeps getting held-up by various events on her way to the police box. One of these involves a car parked in the wrong spot. By the time she gets to work, she's already late, and Ryo is upset about it. They have a pillow fight to settle things. Soon after, Reiko receive a mysterious phone call, and they quickly discover that somebody has been hanging up posters of her, complete with her phone number and a promise of going on dates. They head out to discover who's behind these mysterious posters being hung up and to chase down and capture the culprits.
