Chihaya continues to struggle against Megumu, who has no interest in becoming queen, even though she was the previous year's western finalist. Chihaya manages to take a few cards, including some of Megumu's favorites. Megumu realizes Chihaya wants to become queen, stiffening her resolve to defeat Chihaya. Soon everyone is watching the Mizusawa match. The Akashi coach reflects that the whole team has improved, because they want to help Megumu become queen.
