Stork devises a plan to ignite the final train car using alcohol to separate it and halt the military pursuit. Allison spots an armored tank tracking them across the river, prompting Stork to use force to ensure his group's cooperation. Wil successfully disables the tank with an anti-tank rifle, preventing further pursuit. Stork then confesses to Wil that his mission is to arrest Terol, admitting he killed conductor Welch to achieve this goal. A bodyguard attempts to assassinate Allison and her companions, but Stork intervenes to save them. Upon reaching Terol's quarters, the group discovers his body, which appears to be a suicide.
