After three experienced candidates fail their tests, the women spot Ryu Sasakura in a park who has left behind a book on cocktails. They visit the Edenhall bar in Ginza, where Ryu is employed, and observe his exceptional client perception, attention to detail, and bartending skills. Impressed by his abilities, they conclude that he is the ideal candidate for the position.

Apr 11, 2024While covering a shift at Edenhall bar, long-time customer Taizo Kurushima, chairman and CEO of Hotel Cardinal, visits. Ryu Sasakura serves him cocktails, which Kurushima dismisses as awful, requesting sake instead. Miwa and Yukari offer Ryu a job, but he declines. Ryu then invites Kurushima back to Edenhall, serving him an Old Pal cocktail originally made by the former owner, who was Kurushima's friend. Impressed, Kurushima gives Ryu his card. Later, Miwa and Yukari return to Edenhall to persuade Ryu to join them again. They are interrupted by an exhausted woman fleeing heavy rain. She requests a drink, and Ryu prepares a Bull Shot that satisfies and calms her. This positive experience leads her to alter her harsh behavior at her legal firm.

EP 5Ryu visits Yamazaki distillery with friends while Kelvin reflects on past regrets
May 2, 2024Ryu accompanies Kyouko Kawakami, Yuri Kinjou, and Kelvin Chen to the Yamazaki whisky distillery for a day trip. Kelvin seems withdrawn because he feels regret over failing to take Chitose, the daughter of the hotel owner where he stayed with his father 12 years ago, to the Gion festival as promised. To help Kelvin release these feelings, Ryu suggests tasting the harsh new pot whisky before it matures in barrels, encouraging personal growth. Meanwhile, Kyouko and Yuri have such a good time visiting local bars that they miss the last train home.
EP 6Yukari announces her engagement while Hayase befriends a mysterious woman at Edenhall.
May 9, 2024Yukari Higuchi surprises her friends by announcing her sudden engagement. Concurrently, Hayase, a manager at an industrial machinery company, faces workplace pressure. After acting rudely toward a smoking woman in Edenhall, he apologizes upon his next visit. Ryu invites him behind the bar to share information about the woman’s situation as a coworker. Hayase returns to the bar multiple times, eventually meeting the woman again to apologize and establish a friendship. May 16, 2024Chairman Kurushima asks Ryu to observe the Japan Cocktail Award finals and share his observations. The contestants must prepare and present a unique cocktail which displays creative innovation. Kyouko Kawakami, Yuri Kinjou and Kelvin Chen, who did not return to the United States with his father, enter the competition. Yuri makes a "Chimugukuru" which refers to her childhood in Okinawa, Kyouko is initially very nervous but successfully presents her cocktail "Headwind", and Kelvin presents "Lion City" that represents his origin in Singapore although he accidentally drops the cocktail shaker while pouring and presents only one glass. Kelvin admits that he was driven by the need to be praised and accepted by others but realizes that he should just focus on being the best bartender he can be. Following the competition, Kurushima invites Kyouko to work the bar at Cardinal Hotel and Kelvin returns to Singapore, to run the bar in his father's hotel.

May 30, 2024Miwa invites Ryu to a secret location, but they end up at the North Wind bar, run by Kitakata, Ryu’s former senpai whom he has not seen for eight years. Kitakata serves a potent Bloody Caesar to a client, leading to a dispute about the drink's strength. Kitakata reveals the client is a victim of trafficking who now scams patrons. Later, Ryu prepares Caipirinhas for Kitakata and her companion at Edenhall, impressing Kitakata. He then visits their mentor, Goro Kase, in the hospital, where Kase asks if Ryu is still searching for the Glass of God. Miwa confronts Kitakata about Ryu refusing to work for the Cardinal Hotel.
