Chiku-tan invents a device to find job postings and secures a lunch serving position at Kunugi-tan's school. She realizes the shift conflicts with a fair she needs to attend to earn money. To resolve this, she exchanges shifts with Binchou-tan, taking an earlier bakery job while Binchou-tan takes the school role. Binchou-tan is instructed to dress well and spends her day cleaning a cherished kimono gifted by her grandmother. She wears the garment proudly to work, but rain causes Kunugi-tan's coach to splash mud on it. Kunugi-tan apologizes and offers funds for a replacement, but Binchou-tan refuses due to the item's sentimental value. Meanwhile, Chiku-tan arrives at the fair only to discover it has been cancelled due to the weather.
