Ep. 8: Binchou-tan adopts a stray dog named Saji after facing financial hardship

After Chiku-tan’s portable house breaks and Binchou-tan’s bowl chips, she buys food for a stray dog but cannot afford a replacement bowl. A shopkeeper’s question about her mother saddens her, and a lonely supper follows. The next morning, she brings the dog to Chiku-tan, who names him Saji. Binchou-tan is invited to work at a school weekly. When Chiku-tan brings Saji to the school, the children are excited, and he bonds with Kunugi-tan, who finally learns Binchou-tan’s name. By the episode’s end, Binchou-tan acquires bowls for both herself and Saji.
