Black Jack and Pinoko visit a remote island where they meet a fisherman and his son. The father desires for his son to attend school, but the boy flees upon hearing about enrollment. After a lengthy search, Black Jack locates the boy trapped inside a massive clam. He dives underwater to rescue the child but becomes stuck as well. Both are eventually freed without serious injury, though Black Jack sustains a broken arm during the ordeal.
