Black Jack travels to a local area with the intention of receiving compensation for a prior medical procedure. Instead of payment, he meets Hotch, a resident who is distressed by the vibrations from high-speed trains that rattle his home. Hotch requests that Black Jack operate on his wife, but the surgery is repeatedly interrupted by the intense shaking of the trains. Black Jack pauses the procedure during these disturbances and waits for the vibrations to cease before continuing. The operation cannot be completed until the trains are halted, finally allowing the surgeons to save the patient's life and resolving the constant disruption for the neighborhood.
