David, Saya, and Haji infiltrate the Yanbaru Center to rescue George while the Commander of the U.S. Forces in Okinawa authorizes surgical bombing to destroy evidence. The trio faces a sudden chiropteran attack, but George appears to help fight the monster. Kai arrives with news of the imminent bombing. After George is injured by a chiropteran, he begins transforming into one of them. Saya mixes her blood with his, allowing him to die as a human rather than a monster.
