Shirou Ogami, a wolf beastkin, saves Michiru from the explosion and violently attacks the perpetrators before Michiru intervenes. During this confrontation, Michiru reveals her past as a human. The incident highlights the tensions between humans and beastkin in this world where both species coexist, as Michiri navigates the aftermath of the sabotage and her own hidden history amidst the chaos caused by the hired mercenaries.

They discover Shirou’s howling pacifies affected beastkin, prompting Michiru, Nazuna, and Marie to broadcast it citywide despite Alan’s interference. Shirou stops Alan’s berserk state using his own antibodies, allowing the howl to calm everyone until the serum is ready. With Alan’s conspiracy exposed, Shirou becomes a wanted criminal. Michiru chooses to remain unchanged, encouraging Shirou to embrace any form he desires.
