Shirou Ogami, a wolf beastkin, saves Michiru from the explosion and violently attacks the perpetrators before Michiru intervenes. During this confrontation, Michiru reveals her past as a human. The incident highlights the tensions between humans and beastkin in this world where both species coexist, as Michiri navigates the aftermath of the sabotage and her own hidden history amidst the chaos caused by the hired mercenaries.

This betrayal leaves Michiru feeling deeply downhearted and disappointed by her friend's choice to align with the cult instead of pursuing a remedy for their shared affliction.

After Pingu flies Michiru across the city, Shirou suspects Pingu is a terrorist. Shirou stops Pingu from approaching the Mayor's office using Michiru's new flight ability. They discover the planned attack was a bluff, so Shirou lets him go. Meanwhile, Alan is attacked by a hitman but is rescued by Nazuna.

During Shirou's recovery, Barbaray tells Michiru how Shirou became Ginrou over a thousand years ago, when Nirvasyl beastkins were allegedly wiped out by humans.
9EP 9Michiru rescues Nazuna from medical center after Alan reveals truth about beastkin transformation

Believing Nazuna has been abducted, Michiru breaks into the medical center to save her, only to find Nazuna undergoing an MRI scan. Alan subsequently explains to Michiru that both she and Nazuna became beastkin due to a blood transfusion mishap. He states he is collaborating with Nazuna to create a cure for their condition. However, upon visiting Minister Shiramizu to discuss this, she is arrested. It is revealed that Shiramizu is collaborating with Alan, thwarting Barbaray's efforts to protect the beastkin through separation.
11EP 11Barbaray escapes with Pinga while Nazuna's human reveal triggers Nirvasyl Syndrome
Jun 18, 2020Barbaray escapes captivity with Pinga's help to return to Anima-City. Marie tells Shirou that Nazuna plans to reveal her humanity to calm the beastkin. Shirou warns Michiru that this confession will trigger Nirvasyl Syndrome. Michiru persuades Nazuna to remain silent, but Cliff exposes her anyway. Alan sends weapons that further activate the syndrome in several beastkin. Shirou, shocked by the violence and the reawakened memory that beastkin destroyed his village rather than humans, falls into despair. He succumbs to the syndrome and attacks Michiru.

Jun 25, 2020Michiru survives Shirou’s attack thanks to friends made during the berserker beastkin and Cliff elimination, with her blood returning Shirou to normal. Barbaray reveals that Michiru and Nazuna’s blood can cure Nirvasyl Syndrome. While Nazuna calms citizens, Michiru and Shirou face Alan, a purebred beastkin. They discover Shirou’s howling pacifies affected beastkin, prompting Michiru, Nazuna, and Marie to broadcast it citywide despite Alan’s interference. Shirou stops Alan’s berserk state using his own antibodies, allowing the howl to calm everyone until the serum is ready. With Alan’s conspiracy exposed, Shirou becomes a wanted criminal. Michiru chooses to remain unchanged, encouraging Shirou to embrace any form he desires.
