Ep. 22: Anthony's Rodeo Ambitions Spark Family Honor and Bronco-Busting Action
Aired on March 4, 1977

22
Messages via pigeon reveal Anthony intends to join a rodeo in Tom's village. Eliza alerts great-aunt Elroy, who tasks Candy with dissuading Anthony due to injury fears. Tom contextualizes the risks, while Candy worries Anthony cannot thrive under Elroy's protection. They propose recruiting Archibald and Alistear to share the burden, but the organizer denies entry per Elroy's request. Tom then spreads rumors that the Ardleys are cowards, turning the event into a matter of family honor. Elroy relents and cheers from her carriage as Anthony attempts to stay mounted during bronco-busting, ultimately defeating Tom.
