Ep. 20: Candy’s Family Acceptance and Anthony’s Growing Affection
Aired on February 18, 1977

Candy resides at the Ardley estate with the Cornwell brothers, Anthony, and dresses from great-aunt Elroy. Neil and Eliza continue their deceit, but the family defends Candy as a member. After Neil begs for forgiveness, Candy reveals that their deception led to her being sent to Mexico and adopted by Grandfather William. Anthony grows jealous of a hilltop prince, fearing Candy’s interest is based on resemblance, but a pendant confirms his Ardley lineage. Candy asserts she likes Anthony for himself. At a festive dinner, her green dress stuns the young men. Anthony compares her to his deceased mother and, impressed by her poise against Eliza and Neil’s provocations, begins to dream of marriage.
