Ep. 23: Anthony and Candy spend rodeo prize money on fair rides and free hot dogs

After Great-aunt Elroy orders a prize calf removed from their home, Anthony and Candy take it to town to find a buyer. At the fair, they meet Steve, Tom's father, who agrees to adopt the animal provided he can purchase it. Having never handled money before, the siblings decide to spend their earnings on services. They enjoy a complimentary horsemill ride as the first customers and receive free hot dogs at a diner after the owner recognizes Anthony as the rodeo champion. Seeking another service, they visit a fortune teller who predicts a loving future for Candy but foretells death for Anthony. Though Candy is distressed, Anthony remains unafraid, asserting his maturity. The day concludes at dusk with a climb up the church bell tower to view the scenery, leaving them with two coins kept as souvenirs.
