Candy finds a Romeo and Juliet book with Eleanor Baker's initials while walking with Klint. She tries to return it to Eleanor at a hotel, but Archibald and Alistear ask for an autograph instead. Candy fears mockery and leaves, but Terry eventually rejects his mother at the summer castle. Candy reminds him to appreciate having a mother, unlike her own loss. Terry reconciles with his mother, who was kept away by his father. Grateful, Terry takes Candy on a horse ride through the forest, helping her appreciate life.
