Ep. 40: Candy Escapes Contemplation Room to Visit Zoo and Confronts Terry About Anthony
Sister Margaret demands Patty surrender her turtle Yuli before locking her in the contemplation room. Candy leverages the nun's goodwill to retrieve the turtle. Patricia is released the next morning, but Candy remains confined until the festival. Candy escapes by falling through an attic window and heads to the zoo. There, she finds Terry and Albert laughing at Terry's nickname for her, and she gives Yuli to Albert. After Albert leaves for work, Terry invites Candy to the zoo and asks about Anthony. Candy praises Anthony's love for roses, prompting Terry to mock her feelings. Hurt, Candy reveals Anthony died because of Terry's reckless horse ride. Terry feels remorse but flees without apologizing. Shocked by his disrespect for the dead, Candy tells Albert he is bad, but Albert refuses to intervene. He invites Candy to live with him due to his disappointment in the academy. Candy declines, knowing she must return, and sneaks back into the contemplation room where Klint awaits.
