Ep. 96: Candy receives a Broadway invitation from Terry while Susanna struggles with her injury and career loss.

Candy returns from Florida with oranges and discovers a train ticket and invitation to a Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet sent by Terry. Overjoyed, she obsesses over him, revealing to Albert that her first love was the hilltop prince, not Anthony. Susanna’s mother holds Terry responsible for Susanna’s lost leg, demanding he stay with her forever. Terry visits the hospital daily, but Susanna refuses to see anyone until Karen replaces her in the show. Candy enjoys a farewell dinner with the Cornwell brothers, Patricia, and Annie, where she meets Eliza and Neil. Despite Eliza’s attempts to disparage her, Candy remains happy. Terry finally comforts a depressed Susanna, who learns Candy is visiting. Overwhelmed by her lost career and Candy’s arrival, Susanna urges Terry to focus on his role and make Candy happy.
