1EP 1Coppelion: The Team Saves a Survivor Amidst Radiation and Wolf Attacks
Oct 2, 2013Genetically engineered teenagers Ibara Naruse, Aoi Fukasaku, and Taeko Nomura enter contaminated Tokyo following a JGSDF distress signal. Ibara disobeys Colonel Onihei Mishima to save a dying survivor, prompting her teammates to question their humanity. After the rescue, Onihei displays footage of the Sarcophagus power plant. While Taeko befriends a wild dog, Ibara and Aoi find a suicide victim and are attacked by a feral wolf. After subduing the beast, the pair worry about Taeko’s safety and rush to rescue her from the potential danger of the dog she befriended.
2EP 2Ibara and Taeko assist Mitsuo in locating his daughter Miku while Yukiko holds the child hostage.
Oct 9, 2013Ibara and Taeko encounter Mitsuo Kawabata, who requests help finding his daughter Miku. They visit his underground shelter, where Mitsuo explains he and his wife Yukiko escaped the meltdown as prisoners, which is why he did not call for help. Mitsuo believes Miku is at her late mother’s grave in a stadium, so Ibara and Taeko go there while Aoi stays with Yukiko. Meanwhile, Onihei discovers the rescued survivor’s hazmat suit offers superior protection. Ibara and Taeko find Miku is not at the stadium and learn from Aoi that Yukiko has vanished. Aoi reveals Yukiko was imprisoned for killing her own child and seeks redemption as a stepmother. Ibara deduces Yukiko took Miku hostage to avoid leaving Tokyo. Using Taeko’s dog, they track Yukiko to a leaning hotel, where she explains her husband would be arrested if they were rescued. After Ibara convinces Yukiko for Miku’s sake, half the hotel collapses. Yukiko sacrifices herself so Ibara can save Miku. Onihei attempts to retrieve Mitsuo by helicopter, but high radiation causes him to die slowly while thanking the Coppelions. Before departing, Aoi apologizes to Miku for failing to save her parents, stating they must continue searching for other survivors.
3EP 3Coppelions assist Dr. Shiba and Ibara rescues Granny Ayame from mercenaries
Oct 16, 2013The Coppelions encounter Dr. Denjiro Shiba, the scientist who designed the Obaida Nuclear Power Plant, who feels responsible for the meltdown and the inability of all survivors to escape Tokyo. Shiba attempts to make amends by delivering supplies, but high radiation levels prevent him and his assistant Kamata from reaching survivors, prompting them to send a distress signal. The Coppelions agree to help rescue the survivors on the condition that Shiba surrenders to the authorities. Meanwhile, Ibara attempts to save Granny Ayame from a museum, only to find the old woman kidnapped by two mercenaries who witnessed her. Ibara tracks the kidnappers to a military airfield where they attempt to force Ayame into a B2 stealth jet. A gunfight erupts, allowing Ibara to rescue Ayame as the mercenaries escape. Seeking answers, Denjiro and the Coppelions pursue the jet in a jeep, with Ibara armed with a missile launcher.
4EP 4Coppelions investigate radioactive dumping and race to save Denjiro from radiation sickness.
Oct 23, 2013Ibara shoots down a mercenary jet that crashes into a lake stadium, where the crew is already dead. The Coppelions discover barrels of radioactive waste, revealing that Yellow Cake, a recycling company, has been secretly dumping global nuclear waste in Tokyo, causing recent radiation spikes. Enraged by this discovery, Ibara confronts Denjiro, who blames himself and seeks atonement. Fearing suicide, she tracks him to a shrine as he removes his helmet, with only ten minutes remaining before the anti-radiation effects of his Ether bullet injection wear off. They rush to the airfield for evacuation by Onihei, whose helicopter arrives just in time. Despite Denjiro’s indirect role in Onihei’s family death during the meltdown, Onihei helps him aboard. Denjiro apologizes for their world and provides a list of other Tokyo survivors. Aoi and Taeko reassure Ibara of their enduring support as the mission continues.
5EP 5Coppelions rescue survivors from Ghosts while PM Natsume refuses aid.
Oct 30, 2013The Coppelions travel to a JAXA facility to rescue survivors but encounter Gojiro Kajii and his pregnant daughter Ibuki under attack by the Ghosts of the First Division, JGSDF soldiers left behind after Tokyo was sealed. After the Coppelions save the Kajiis, they are retrieved by Oyakata Kurobe and Gennai Ishikawa in an AMV. Taeko is shot while protecting Ibuki, prompting Ibara to request a medevac. However, Prime Minister Natsume refuses to send rescue forces until the First Division is eliminated. With Onihei unavailable due to a three-day international conference, Ibara and Aoi remain with the JAXA survivors at their home in the "Planet," a giant dome containing non-irradiated plants and water. Meanwhile, Onihei assigns Coppelion Haruto Kurosawa of the Mop-Up Squad to assist Ibara.
6EP 6Ibara and Haruto plan a rescue for Aoi while facing the mutated Ghosts.
Nov 6, 2013Commander Kunikida captures Aoi to lure the Coppelions into a trap. Ibara and Oyakata attempt a rescue at a park, but Ibara is beaten after hesitating to shoot Kunikida. Haruto arrives on his AMV to save Ibara, leaving Aoi behind. Using a transmitter, they track the Ghosts to a water treatment plant. While Gennai and Oyakata create a distraction, Ibara and Haruto move in. Ibara is shocked to learn the Cleanup Crew was trained to kill, a method she opposes. She is captured by Kunikida, who reveals his troops have mutated to survive radiation. Despite Ibara’s offer to help, Kunikida orders a tank to fire. Aoi escapes, and the group finds Ibara severely injured.
7EP 7Haruto saves Ibara while Kunikida reveals a nuclear plot against the government.
Nov 13, 2013Haruto and Aoi revive Ibara after a shrapnel wound, with Haruto donating blood after Taeko removes the debris. Aoi isolates herself in guilt, while Haruto interrogates Kunikida, who admits to storing radioactive waste in the Sarcophagus to trigger a nationwide fallout as revenge for government abandonment. The Coppelions are targeted because radiation levels there are lethal. Despite warnings to Onihei, the government delays action to protect Natsume’s reputation during the expo. When Ibuki’s labor begins and no specialist arrives until the event ends, the group travels to a capital hospital. Aoi and the Planet remain with Mr. No-sense. Haruto attempts to contact teammates Kanon Ozu and Shion Ozu without success, but the twins later ambush Ibara’s convoy using radioactive waste barrels.
8EP 8Sisters battle for dominance as radiation spreads and secrets about Coppelion origins are revealed.
Nov 20, 2013Kanon and Shion assault Ibara’s group, forcing others to hide while Haruto explains that Coppelions are radiation-immune clones with added abilities, and the Ozu Twins’ cruelty stems from their serial killer progenitor. The sisters capture Ibara with Ghost assistance, citing shared hatred from school days. Ibara escapes using a noise grenade and a tank, tricking Shion into trapping herself with liquid hydrogen. Kanon withstands the blast, using electricity to stun Ibara before revealing her motive: she wants Coppelions to replace humans after learning they will die. Ibara defeats Kanon with an electric cable, leaving the sisters tied up while No-sense comforts Aoi. Meanwhile, survivors at the Planet discover that Kanon and Shion’s placement of radioactive waste barrels is causing dangerous radiation spread due to an approaching storm.
9EP 9Ibara and Haruto devise a rail diversion to evacuate survivors while Kanon and Shion pursue them.
Nov 27, 2013With radiation reaching the Planet in two to three days, Ibara and Haruto plan to use the broken city rail system to transport survivors to safety. Anticipating that Kanon and Shion will pursue them due to Kanon’s tracking abilities, Ibara splits the group into two teams. She leads one team as a diversion while the other repairs the railway power. Meanwhile, Ibuki suffers from labor pains, and Taeko fears delivering the baby until Granny Ayame contacts her via radio to offer assistance. As the Coppelions and survivors prepare to leave the dome, Aoi emerges thanks to No-sense. Before departing, Ibuki requests the rescue of the baby’s father, identified as the First Division soldier who aided Aoi. Ibara and Haruto depart with Aoi and No-sense to distract the pursuers, while Taeko, Ibuki, Gennai, Oyakata, and Gojiro proceed to the railway.
