Mei Ren reveals to Akira that Mina manipulated recent attacks to secure his protection, causing Akira to distrust her. Akira discovers Mina holds Shinya hostage to exchange for the bill’s mastermind. At the academy, Hikosaka, who bears vampire marks, is intercepted by Akira before he can escape or reveal his turner. Akira questions Mina about the prime minister’s grandson’s abduction and the school’s vampire infiltration, learning she is only responsible for the kidnapping. News breaks that Prime Minister Mizoguchi is retiring, potentially allowing the bill to pass. Akira organizes the student council in the chapel to eliminate the vampires. Before departing for weapons, he reassures Yuki about their relationship despite losing her ring. The council is trapped overnight when Nanami appears at the door, now transformed into a vampire, distressing Yuki.
