Ep. 8: Miu confronts past trauma while competing against Ren in a Palaga match

A flashback depicts Miu failing to save her former master from fatal hemorrhaging. At school, Miu challenges Ren to a Dears game called Palaga, driven by lingering jealousy. During the match, Miu and Takeya fall into a water well located behind her homestay. Trapped, they discuss the enslavement of Dears and Miu’s traumatic history with her ex-master. Miu overcomes her emotional barriers and uses her abilities to fly them both out of the well. Upon their rescue, Takeya is greeted by an overjoyed Ren, marking a turning point for Miu as she confronts her past.
