This suspicion points to the wealthy Yotsuba Group, which controls global markets. Kira also threatens politicians, forcing the investigation team to operate secretly. Publicly, the case remains unsolved, and the team is disbanded. L then recruits two new members, Aiber and Wedy, to join the investigation.
