Krillin Awakens His Hidden Power While Frieza Demands Vegeta's Return
Sep 27, 2009Krillin and Dende reach the Grand Elder at an open tower, where Nail greets them. The Elder discusses the dragon balls, his poor health, and the need for assistance. He telepathically examines Krillin, learning about Kami’s history and Piccolo’s origin as the evil half. Recognizing Krillin’s pure heart, the Elder awakens his dormant power, causing a dramatic increase. Krillin then asks if Gohan can receive the same treatment, and the Elder agrees. Meanwhile, Zarbon reports to Frieza that he defeated Vegeta, though the body is missing. Frieza is angry because he believes Vegeta hides a Dragon Ball and must be questioned. He orders Zarbon to retrieve Vegeta for healing. Zarbon finds the Saiyan alive and places him in a rejuvenation chamber on the spaceship.

Krillin returns to the Capsule House with a ball given by the Grand Elder, followed by both Vegeta and Zarbon. The two warriors immediately fight over the item. Zarbon is ultimately killed by Vegeta. Meanwhile, Gohan travels to the village Vegeta previously attacked and finds another Dragon Ball. He locates the orb Vegeta had hidden in a lake. After securing it, Gohan begins his journey back to Bulma and the group at the camp.

Believing he has all seven, Vegeta spares Gohan after striking his stomach and departs. Upon reaching a Namekian lake, Vegeta discovers Gohan stole his hidden Dragon Ball and becomes enraged. Meanwhile, Frieza learns the Ginyu Force is arriving soon with advanced scouters and significant combat power. Goku continues his rigorous training at high gravity levels inside his spaceship.

Before they can be harmed, Vegeta kills Guldo. Recoome then prepares to fight Vegeta. Meanwhile, Goku is ten minutes away from landing on Namek.

Vegeta begins to suspect that Goku has become the first Super Saiyan in over 1,000 years. However, he struggles to accept that a low-class Saiyan like Goku could achieve this transformation more easily than an elite-class warrior such as himself.

Krillin and Gohan deduce that Frieza intends to kill the Grand Elder to acquire the summoning password. Upon arrival, Ginyu and Jeice engage Goku, who instructs his companions to depart. Vegeta deceives Goku and escapes, forcing him to fight alone. Ginyu requests Goku to unleash his full strength, prompting Goku to utilize the Kaio-ken technique to power up for the ensuing battle.

Using this new strength, he destroys most of the island and impales Krillin on one of his horns while charging at him in the air.

Frieza overpowers Gohan until the healed Krillin cuts off Frieza’s tail and distracts him, giving Dende time to heal Gohan. The three warriors attack together, but their efforts remain ineffective. Just as they prepare for a desperate charge, Piccolo arrives, declaring that he will be the one to win the battle.
