Following a turbulent night at sea, Gohan reaches the shore and is cared for by two young orphans named Rom and Chiko. He discovers they belong to a larger group of children who survive independently while evading interfering adults. The group's leader, Pigero, devises a strategy to relocate the orphans to a more secure location. However, the arrival of the police disrupts the operation, causing the carefully laid plans to fail completely and leaving the children in immediate danger.
