Jan 17, 1990Vegeta utilizes Blutz Waves and an energy ball to create an artificial moon, transforming into a Great Ape with full mental control. Witnessing this form triggers Goku’s memory of accidentally killing his grandfather, Grandpa Gohan, during a childhood transformation. Goku attempts to finish Vegeta using the Spirit Bomb, which he gathers while Gohan and Krillin return to the fight. However, Vegeta manages to stop Goku from launching the attack. Depleted of energy, Goku is left helpless and at Vegeta’s mercy.
