Gintoki discards magazines on combustible pickup day but returns after a scary commercial, only to faint upon seeing a severed head at the dump. He wakes up relieved, assuming it was a dream, until he discovers the head in Kagura’s possession. Shinpachi explains it belongs to Etsuko, a popular mechanical maid. The group struggles to find a body for the headless unit when news breaks that Professor Hayashi, Etsuko’s creator, has been murdered. A warrant is issued for Fuyou, Hayashi’s prototype mechanical maid, whose traits match the severed head Gintoki and his friends currently possess.
