Gintoki and his companions rush to Number 502, who intends to seize control of Edo using machines. They proceed to the terminal located within Gengai's tank, but Gengai and the tank are lost during an attack by a giant maid. Gintoki separates from Kagura and Sadaharu, continuing deeper into the facility with Fuyou. Eventually, Gintoki and Fuyou confront 502 directly. The antagonist attempts to welcome Fuyou as the reincarnation of his deceased daughter, but she rejects this notion. Remembering the dying wish of Professor Hayashi to give his daughter a smile, Fuyou resolves to destroy the out-of-control 502.
