Ep. 9: Mao Stranded on Island While Nitta Faces Cement Burial Promotion

Kei summons Mao to retrieve Hina, but Mao crash-lands on a deserted island, losing her orbs in the surf. She creates puppet versions of Hina and Anzu for company until months later, when she discards them and sails away on a raft. Meanwhile, Nitta attempts to arrange for his boss to become the next family head. Hina suggests Nitta should lead instead, but the Oyabun dismisses this, prompting Nitta to redirect the conversation to Kiyoshi. Sabu had already texted Kiyoshi about Hina’s suggestion, leading Kiyoshi to bury Nitta in cement. The Oyabun eventually resolves the situation, and Kiyoshi awkwardly promotes Nitta to Lieutenant while he remains trapped in the cement. Later, Hina asks how to celebrate the promotion, but Nitta returns home to find her preparations resemble a funeral for him.
