Ep. 151: Kagome Purifies Kikyo's Spirit at the Waterfall Before Dusk

Kochou and Asuka lead Kagome to a waterfall where Kikyo’s body hangs suspended. As the sole person capable of saving Kikyo before dusk, Kagome chooses to purify her spirit, removing the miasma. During this process, Kagome witnesses a vision of Kikyo’s past, seeing how Naraku tricked her into sealing Inuyasha to the Sacred Tree. Although Kikyo has been revived, she offers no gratitude for Kagome’s decision. Once the barrier dissipates, Inuyasha’s group locates an irritated Kagome. She informs Inuyasha that Kikyo has been purified and urges him to pursue her. Inuyasha refuses, stating that Kikyo is likely fine on her own.
