Yoko escapes the town while Shoukei trades chores for shelter with a local man. Asano leads Shoukou’s forces toward Yoko’s location, and Suzu assists at an inn with Seki. Yoko visits Suzu, who fails to recognize her as queen, and leaves after learning of public discontent regarding the current leadership. Enho is captured as a wanted felon. Asano fatally shoots Kei Kei and pursues a fleeing girl to her death. Keiki alerts Yoko to blood upon their return, where she finds Kei Kei alive. She sends him for aid with Keiki’s youma, then discovers the dead girl clutching the queen’s seal, suggesting she protected Yoko’s identity. A youma reveals Kei Kei’s wound involved burns, prompting Yoko to resolve to stop Shoukou before further harm occurs.
